Alla Shkiler is a seasoned corporate and public affairs strategist who partners with leading brands to enhance their reputation, mitigate crises, elevate thought leadership, and craft meaningful narratives. As senior vice president at the global communications agency Grayling, she leads strategic corporate communications programs in the U.S., supporting clients across the financial services, energy, transportation, and hospitality sectors.
Prior to joining Grayling, Alla was a vice president at Ketchum, where she provided corporate and public affairs counsel across diverse industries, including technology, transportation, wellness, food and agriculture, healthcare, and energy. Her expertise encompasses reputation management, crisis mitigation, and strategic storytelling.
Alla has spearheaded the development of corporate messaging frameworks, including crafting overarching narratives, message maps, and branding materials for organizations like Medifast. She also led content strategy and development for Elevance Health’s (formerly Anthem) thought leadership platform, showcasing innovative solutions for improving America’s healthcare system.
As an experienced issues and crisis advisor, Alla has guided senior executives through complex reputational challenges. Her work includes developing scenario plans, positioning documents, landscape analyses, and external communications to effectively navigate high-stakes situations.
Throughout her career, Alla has contributed to the success of strategic communications campaigns for high-profile clients, including Amazon Web Services, Michelin, KAR Global, H&R Block, Hertz and UScellular, among others.
Alla holds a bachelor’s degree in communication with a focus in public relations from the University of Maryland, where she was a teaching assistant for PR writing courses.
