Ward Hubbell is a communication strategist and entrepreneur with nearly 40 years’ experience advising industry executives, business owners and public officials on matters related to reputation management and public communications. Hubbell began his career as a speechwriter in the Reagan administration and later became a senior executive in one of Washington, D.C.’s leading public relations firms. 

In 2003, Hubbell founded an award-winning public relations agency in the Pacific Northwest that still bears his name.  With offices in Portland and Seattle, Hubbell Communications represents and has advised some of the most recognizable names in business and industry.  

Hubbell has a long track record of creating non-profit entities designed to advance public policy agendas. These entities have spanned a wide range of industries – construction/green building, healthcare, transportation, and agriculture – and have been supported by some of the largest and most successful corporations in the world. Through grassroots organizing, media relations and strategic messaging, these coalitions have been highly influential at both the federal and state levels of government.  

Throughout his corporate and agency career, Hubbell has provided high level, strategic counsel to dozens of organizations and individuals facing a wide range of public relations crises including workplace issues, product recalls, bankruptcy, environmental discharges, criminal conduct, corporate malfeasance, and other complex and difficult matters. 

Hubbell has been a sought-after speaker both nationally and internationally, has testified before the United States Congress on numerous occasions and has been interviewed by some of the leading media outlets in the country. Hubbell and his wife now reside in Oxford, Mississippi where they are active real estate investors and community volunteers.
